Overhaul Engineer – Commercial

Ideal candidate will hold a B.Sc./Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, be a member of a recognized professional body and have 10 years relevant experience of which at least 5 years should have been within the oil & gas industry. Overhaul and shutdown experience is mandatory. Good working knowledge of SAP will be an advantage. The selected candidate will advise and assist the Departmental Head on all aspects relating to the commercial, financial & contractual implications relating to the successful completion of the annual train overhauls. In addition, he will also be responsible for preparing initial overhaul budgets & amending same on receipt of more definitive information; preparing financial report on a regular basis both in detail & summary form; maintaining schedules of mobilization of both labour & equipment, comparing planned with actual, reporting on status & anomalies, following up & preparing planned cost and man-hours during execution phase, comparing with actual, report results on a daily basis, notifying trends and over-runs; checking interim valuations & final accounts from contractors, preparing valuation certificates; monitoring issue of service orders, materials & company labour cost & comparing with forecast; preparing cost monitoring & reporting section of the Overhaul Manager’s report and undertaking cost analysis and commercial evaluations as required.

Work Cycle:5 days ‘ON’ Island followed by 2 days ‘OFF’ in Abu Dhabi.
